About Your Visit

  • Entry is by timed ticket and pre-booking is essential.
  • Tickets are priced as follows: 

    • Standard £14
    • Creative Folkestone Member £7
    • Art Fund Member £7
    • Age 6-25 years / Students £10 
    • Under 6s go free
  • Visitor guides will accompany you inside the cottage and be on hand to answer any questions.
  • You will have 40 minutes to explore Prospect Cottage.
  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled slot with your ticket(s) ready.
  • If you have used a membership card to book a ticket, please bring it with you. If you do not have the correct documentation you may get turned away. 

Getting to Prospect Cottage

  • The address for Prospect Cottage is: Dungeness Rd, Dungeness, Romney Marsh TN29 9NE

  • To help reduce our environmental impact, consider using public transport to get here. There are regular bus links from Ashford (bus 11) and Rye (bus 102). You can also travel to Prospect Cottage by miniature railway or bicycle.

    Visit www.stagecoachbus.com for the most up to date bus information.
  • Please do not park on the shingle area around the Cottage. Parking is available on the right hand-side just past the Dungeness Snack Shack.

On Arrival

  • There are no public toilets at Prospect Cottage - please plan your visit accordingly and use public facilities before you arrive.
  • Children under the age of six must be carried, or hold an adult's hand at all times.
  • Bags, food and drinks are not allowed in the Cottage. The Custodian and Guides may take bags into storage if necessary.
  • No pets are allowed in the Cottage. Guide dogs are permitted. 
  • No photography or filming is permitted inside Prospect Cottage.

Access

  • Due to the historic nature of the cottage itself, doorways and hallways are narrow and there are small steps into the cottage. 
  • Dungeness is a shingle surface with limited pathways.
  • Guide dogs are permitted. 
  • There is no dedicated disabled parking on the Dungeness estate.
