Monday 18 November | 6-7pm | The Cat and Custard Pot Pub, Paddlesworth, Folkestone CT18 8AD
The Cat and Custard Pot Pub in Paddlesworth is delighted to host a one-hour event in which Eleanor Meade, the Paddlesworth poet, will be reading some of her poems about enduring cancer, enjoying the things that matter (including cats and dogs), and eulogizing the Kent countryside.
Come and listen to a fresh, insightful and unpretentious voice that is both funny and poignant in equal measure.
Be there on time. Doors will close at 6.05pm once the reading begins.
This event is sponsored by Bounce (a vintage clothing store in Folkestone and Canterbury) and by Fresh Start Direct, a pioneer online education resource based in Folkestone.
This event is organised and hosted by local author Mark Stibbe, who provides a service for aspiring authors called BookLab, and whose latest novel, KING OF HEARTS, has just been launched at the Grand in Folkestone.
