This work by Nichola Rogers titled “Feather and fur, The body needs to be fed” is part of a series of photo collage works that explore touch, taste, and bodily contact with food, flower, and fauna from nature. Each image is unique, in this one a composition of sliced tomato, strawberries, blossom, leaves and other foliage are compressed against a bare skinned chest.

Nichola Rodgers is an installation artist and ceramics tutor whose practice explores the body, landscape, and the industrial environment, and is used as a framework to investigate further the relationship between nature and culture. Using a mix of painting, photography, and found objects to create and dissect our understanding of our world and memories.

Nichola currently tutors ceramics at The Cube in Folkestone, tutors art privately, and advises small groups on exhibition creation and creating small events.

Her work can be seen and purchased in the studio on weekends.

Nichola has shown work in many galleries around the country such as Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Blue Coat Liverpool, and Cass Sculpture Park as well as working with Gustav Metzger, Anthia Hamilton, and Chris Jones.
