Nichola is an installation artist and ceramics tutor who returned to education after having her family to complete a fine art degree at UCA and a Masters in painting and sculpture from Glasgow School of Art.
Nichola’s practice explores body, landscape and the industrial environment, and is used as a framework to investigate further the relationship between nature and culture.
Nichola offers connections between the body, object and experience, to create visual autobiographies and narratives within sublime spaces of the environment and mind.
She uses a mix of painting, photography and found objects to create and dissect our understanding of our world and memories.
Nichola currently tutors ceramics at The Cube in Folkestone, tutors art privately, and advises small groups on exhibition creation and creating small events.
Her work can be seen and purchased in the studio on weekends.
Nichola has shown work in many galleries around the country such as Yorkshire sculpture park, Blue coat Liverpool and Cass sculpture park as well as working with Gustav Metzger, Anthia Hamilton, and Chris Jones.
