Folkestone Documentary Festival
The 3rd edition of the Folkestone Documentary Festival returns from Thursday 19 until Sunday 22 October 2023. For 4 days, doc lovers are invited to join us for 11 feature-length films, 9 shorts, a VR exhibition, drinks and parties, DJ lates, a communal meal, an industry afternoon, a group walk, a sauna morning and the chance to hear from the directors themselves in post-film Q&As.
The festival is a day longer than last year and has expanded venues to include The Green Room at The Grand and the Brewery Tap, reflecting a growing love of documentaries in Folkestone. This year's festival features stories about body image, LGBTQIA+ rights, disability, family, migration, dementia, skating, saunas, big stones, little puffins, and a whole lot more.
