Sesame Snaps

Sesame Snaps are a sneak peek at what's going on behind the scenes during the Open Sesame programme at the Quarterhouse.

At the end of August, we announced that we were offering Creative Folkestone Quarterhouse as a free space to get creative. We've since been playing host to all manor of artistic outlets and blue sky thinkings. There's still limited space available but we want to keep the doors firmly open. If you are looking for a space for rehearsals, training, research & development, recording, live streaming, small meetings, wigging out or primal screaming, we can offer the auditorium to you on Mondays-Fridays between 10am-5pm.

As part of our Open Sesame programme, Creative Folkestone have opened the doors of Quarterhouse to the creative community. Sesame Snaps is a new series following the work and progress behind closed doors. Revealing behind the scenes snapshots to a new breed of stay-at-home audience.

Pink Suits were first back through the doors. In their snapshot, we caught up on imminent releases, upcoming projects and how to move fluidly whilst in lockdown.

The Lucky 13s Band told us all about the work they've been doing in celebration of Cat Stevens, band reunions and signing their first record deal. Whilst at the Quarterhouse, they recorded a series of Cat Stevens tributes as part of a larger project, where their recordings will be in the company of Paul McCartney, Dave Matthews Band and more.
