Join Catherine O'Connor on a running tour of Folkestone Triennial artworks.
These tours are for all running abilities and cover approximately three miles. We will stop to look at and discuss the artworks as we go. As long as you know you can sustain a short, easy and sociable run then this tour is for you!
Please come ready in your running gear - remember you will have to run with your belongings so make sure you have a bag that you can run with.
Catherine O'Connor, a running coach and enthusiast was born in Folkestone. She is passionate about its development and artworks.
Operating throughout Folkestone Triennial, tours are free to join but booking is essential.
Our guided tours are designed to include a number of artworks and will typically cover around 2km in distance. Our tour guides will do their best to accommodate every one on the tour but please note that due to the historic nature of the town there may be some steps or uneven surfaces to negotiate. Tours will take place rain or shine, so don’t forget to prepare for the Great British weather by bringing a rain coat and maybe even sun cream.
The majority of the tours will start at Quarterhouse unless otherwise stated. The tour may not end back where you started so please be aware of this when you plan your visit. Our guides can inform you of the routes you will take when you arrive.
