Sacconi Festival: A Light & Sound Installation - Beethoven on the Beach revisited

As part of the Sacconi Quartet’s 2021 Artist’s Residency, Kate Beaugié invited local artists, filmmakers, photographers, a poet, a writer, a designer and sound engineers to interpret and document the event Beethoven on the Beach; Beethoven’s Op. 131 performed by the Sacconi Quartet, on Sunny Sands, as the seawater rose and the Earth turned on its axis, on the 24th October 2021.

The concluding event; BEETHOVEN ON THE BEACH REVISITED, will be held in the huge, imperial spaces of The Grand, The Leas, Folkestone, Kent CT20 2LR. Entry at the west entrance on Metropole Road East, and will consist of a curated amalgam of the individual and collaborative creative journeys into music, space, sound, time, words, silence, light and darkness.
