SALT + EARTH Festival: Dens & Signals - You Mean The World

Go on an audio walk with Dens & Signals and celebrate the life and the rock and the dust all around us.

A brief but evocative introduction to Deep Time featuring original music, You Mean The World is a response to the wild fragility of our species, our cities, our future… and the wonder of being alive. It’s the first part of a larger exploration of Deep Time by Dens & Signals, a company whose work explores big themes with “a powerful gentleness and humour”.

You can experience You Mean The World whenever you like from 10am on Friday 23 to 5pm on Sunday 25 September over the SALT + EARTH Festival weekend.

How to take part:

1/ You’ll need to download this audio track to your phone or music player.

2/ You’ll also need a pebble. Either bring your own, or we’ll have some at Quarterhouse for you to choose. Come pick one up during our opening hours (10am to 5pm).

3/ Head over to Quarterhouse to begin the walk. When you arrive at the front door, press play on the audio track and be prepared to listen and walk for around fifteen minutes. Remember to bring a pair of headphones!

The audio walk is recommended for ages 16+

As part of their research, Dens & Signals lead artists Jane Packman and Ben Pacey will be in the foyer at Quarterhouse on Saturday 24 September from 11am to 4pm and would love to talk to you about the walk, or Deep Time in general, over a nice cup of tea.
