Keep the summer going this September with Barry Issac and his band as part of this year’s Skabour Fringe.
Folkestone's Skabour Festival is the town’s annual festival of ska, reggae, dub and roots music. Where ska meets the sea, we are proud to once again be part of the line-up with this extra-special gig.
Barry Issac initially formed a band in the mid-70s. The band enjoyed a strong local following in north London and the Midlands where they performed in the roots and culture style.
In the late 80s, Issacs formed the Reggae on Top label, working with the cream of UK roots performers. He continued to record his songs, including the popular 90s hits ‘Revelation Time’ and ‘Happiness’, but concentrated his efforts on promoting his increasing roster of artists, including UK roots stalwart Pablo Gad, I Jah Man’s former sidekick Steven Wright, and Hughie Izachaar. Issac has continued to make music and cemented his place as a legend of reggae.
