The Creative Quarter's very own Simon Davenport will be presenting a new range of works especially for his exhibition at The Toolshed. Through mixed mediums of sculpture, film and print, Davenport's practice continues to explore the sublime sensations we experience when encountered with something not quite fully understood. Tapping into contemporary consumer culture and the newness, unbeknown, that what may become a norm, we discover the romance of lifestyle through Simon's dissecting and retranslation of objects and characters, into ephemeral motifs rather than their original disguise.
