Huey Morgan: NYC Block Party
Fri 2 Feb, 8pm
Tickets: £22

Huey’s NYC Block Party is coming to Folkestone. The musical equivalent of the cosmic Big Bang, disco, hip hop and funk collided in an almighty collision in late 70s New York, with call and response choruses sat astride Get Down breaks and fast’n’furious hip hop mixing. It was a truly magical moment, and one that Huey captures perfectly with his funk-loving NYC Block Party.

Melting Vinyl: Stornoway
Fri 9 Feb, 8pm
Tickets: £22 Standard / £10 Concessions / £5 Under 21 / £26 On the Door

Playing with instrumentation and melody, words and texture, Stornoway's music is bouyant and windswept, rich in colour and natural light, but with an undertow of longing borne of grief for our disappearing nature. Stornoway have developed an extraordinary ability to connect deeply with their audiences - they create a powerful and uplifting force onstage, and it’s this force that has brought them back together again, reinvigorated and excited to play live again.

DJ Format + Special guests
Sat 20 Apr, 8pm

DJ Format will be bringing his unique skills and musical style to Quarterhouse this spring. The title of his 2003 debut album says it all: Music For The Mature B-Boy. That’s DJ Format for you, boiled down to the essence. He’s the grown-up producer/beatmaker who, admittedly, spends far too long digging for bafflingly scarce records to sample and play in clubs.

Their song “Far From Any Road” was the opening theme for HBO’s True Detective season one and still receives thousands of Shazams every week from all over the world.
