Are you 16-19? Passionate about film? Want a career in the film industry? If so, the Kent BFI Film Academy is for you. The British Film Institute (BFI), Screen South and The Maidstone Studios have come together once again to create a life changing opportunity to support young filmmakers in Kent.
They are looking for 20 young people with a passion for film-making and great ideas for short films to take part in the Kent BFI Film Academy. The course provides young film-makers with the chance to meet with high end film industry professionals; opportunities to link in with organisations such as BAFTA; and the time and space to develop skills with the support of industry professionals.
The Academy programme runs over 10 Saturdays from the middle of October 2019 to the beginning of February 2020. Young people only have a small admin fee of £25 and bursaries for this fee are available.
