Folkestone Book Festival 2019 Highlights Video | Filmed & edited by CCCU second-year film students

We are delighted to share this film about Folkestone Book Festival made by second year film students from Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU).

CCCU are valuable long-term partners of Creative Folkestone and, in particular, our Education Partner for Folkestone Book Festival.

The students were able to gain professional filming experience; they were given a brief, interviewed curators, authors and sponsors, filmed events and edited this together to create a 3-minute film, highlighting the 2019 festival.

Taking place in November, the Folkestone Book Festival is an annual invitation to gather, tell stories, exchange ideas and keep warm together. Entitled The Shape of Things to Come, it draws inspiration from the philosophy and spirit of HG Wells, who lived and wrote in Folkestone. It helps us make sense of the world and reveal possibilities for better futures.

Folkestone Book Festival will return in 2020. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
