Tune In: Field Recording Walk & Workshop with Craig Gell

As part of Tune In Folkestone, an expeditionary workshop to collect sounds from The Warren at dusk, with an introduction to field-recording and acoustic ecology.

Craig Gell is a sound artist, composer and musician based in Folkestone.

His recent work explores our connection to the natural environment, using field recordings, geoscience data and computer programming to produce sound maps, data sonifications and electroacoustic compositions.

He has exhibited sound installations at SALT Festival, Profound Sound, Folkestone Triennial and Ramsgate Festival of Sound. In 2020/2021 he was a MagiC Carpets resident artist.

Requirements: iPhone (or other portable recording device), Voice Memo app (or similar)

Booking is essential to take part on the walk.

Please be prepared to walk approximately 2miles with suitable footwear and clothing.
Suitable for adults and children (recommended age 7+). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
