Ink Drawing Square

Our schools programme offers regular free workshops that explore a wide variety of creative processes inspired predominantly by Creative Folkestone’s extensive artwork collection.

Working with art practitioners in our dedicated Block 67 studio, students have space and time to use new materials and facilities away from the school environment. Our free workshops allow them to experiment, play, develop confidence, enquire, grow their imaginations and learn more about the wealth of creativity in their own town.

We also offer a Folkestone Triennial education programme with workshops created and inspired by artworks in the Triennial or its themes. Similarly, we also run Folkestone Book Festival events, specifically for schools.

Testimonials

"The children were delighted to be able to get out of school and into the community, especially after the last year where school trips have not been allowed.  Children of all ages took part in workshops and tours and were engaged in the activities as they were practical, fun and well thought through."

"I just want to thank you and Emily once again for a wonderful fun art session on Tuesday. The children thoroughly enjoyed it and were fully engaged all the time. Cannot thank you enough."
