Artist and Artefact: Rubiane Maia & Coralie Clover
Sorry, this event has sold out
Join artist Rubiane Maia and Folkestone Museum Curator Coralie Clover for a conversation about Rubiane’s new Triennial commission and the ancient remains that helped shape it.
Together, they will explore the connections between past and present, the research behind the artwork, and how creative practice can help us imagine new ways of understanding time, memory and the land beneath our feet.
This event is a chance to hear directly from the artist about her creative process, and how inspiration from archaeology, place and personal history can lead to powerful new work.
This event is taking place at Folkestone Museum, on Guildhall Street in the Town Centre - why not arrive early and check out the permanent collection of Folkestone's ancient artefacts?
All are welcome.
