Talking, Walking, Looking...

Explore Differently
Talking. Walking. Looking. Watching. Listening. Meditating. Sharing food.
The Folkestone Triennial 2025 was more than just an exhibition – it was a town-wide invitation to explore art and creativity in new and unexpected ways.
Alongside the artworks, the 2025 Public Programme offered a rich series of events and activities, providing alternative ways to experience the Triennial – from reflective and mindful sessions to social, hands-on, and participatory experiences.
Visitors were able to take part in artist talks, enjoy yoga or meditation sessions set among the artworks, step into temporary exhibition spaces, share food and ideas, or simply pause and let the experience unfold in their own time.
From movement and mindfulness to conversation and community, these activities offered unique ways to connect with the themes and questions raised by the exhibition. Together, they reflected Creative Folkestone’s commitment to inclusive engagement and the transformational potential of public art.
The 2025 programme demonstrated the power of ambition through access – creating moments where people from all walks of life could meet, make, and reflect on the world around them.
Although the Triennial has now concluded, information about the Public Programme remains available as a record of the events and activities that complemented the artworks.
