'Connecting Creatives’ is a free monthly networking event for all creatives in Folkestone, and beyond. Guest speakers showcase their work, discuss their practice or share their skills, and time is provided after for informal discussions and networking. Free drinks will be provided.

At this June’s event, the theme we’re highlighting is 'Art and Artists’. Guest speakers include:

Becca Pelly-Fry, Independent Curator and Consultant, will discuss Open Art Folke: a new grass-roots arts festival, taking place in September 2024, organised by a volunteer group of artists and curators which aims to build a nurturing professional and inclusive arts community across Folkestone. Kat Kristof, artist, will be offering an in-depth look into her unique perspectives on seemingly unrelated subjects. She will discuss how she perceives forms and emotions, her interpretation of the weather and design, and her views on the sea and architecture. Instagram @kat_kristof

Naomi Eaton-Baudains is an artist, creative project manager and educator. She has displayed her own work in galleries and public spaces, has produced international artists’ work, and taught fine art at secondary and university. www.naomieb.com
