Emergency on Planet Folkestone: Climate Change and Art

Book this event online or email the box office at boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk

Mike Stubbs's Climate Emergency Services helps us think about the causes of climate change and our relationship with fossil-fuel powered machines.

In this panel discussion, we'll unpick the dimensions of planetary climate and ecological emergency. What does the emergency mean to us here in Folkestone? How do we live in a long-term state of crisis? What are appropriate collective and individual responses to the emergency?

We will also discuss the value and effectiveness of art as a means to engage the public with matters of political and scientific concern, and explore together ways to build real climate emergency services.

Join us and our panel - environmental expert Nicholas Thurston and artist Mike Stubbs.
