Join Creative Folkestone for an invitation-only fundraising evening at Quarterhouse on Thursday 12 March 2026, from 6pm. This event launches our fundraising campaign for the seventh edition of Folkestone Triennial, taking place in 2028.
Hosted by our chief executive, Alastair Upton, the evening includes a conversation between Sorcha Carey, Triennial Curator, and J. Maizlish Mole, Triennial 2025 artist and creator of Folkestone In Ruins.
Guests will hear about the artist and curator’s practice, and the ideas shaping the next Triennial.
Folkestone Triennial 2028 will mark 20 years of Folkestone Triennial. Since 2008, the Triennial has:
- commissioned 120 new artworks for the town
- welcomed over 1,000,000 visitors
- created a lasting legacy of 87 artworks by 52 artists
- and worked with generations of children and young people through a free engagement programme alongside each edition.
As we plan for this landmark anniversary, we are inviting guests to become seed funders and help shape what comes next.
This is a fundraising event, and guests will be invited to make a lead gift in support of Folkestone Triennial 2028.
The first 20 donors who give £2,000 or above will receive a signed limited-edition print of J. Maizlish Mole’s Folkestone In Ruins map.
Subsequent donors will receive signed prints of Triennial artworks from earlier editions.
