Guided Tour: Adapted for the Visually Impaired

Sorry, this event has sold out

Join Sophie Hoffman for a tour of Folkestone Triennial artworks. This tour is adapted for people with visual impairments and will focus on tactile artworks and those with accompanying sounds.

Sophie is a translator and editor. She is interested in all things Folkestone and her language background means she loves talking about the stories behind the town's network of outdoor art. Sophie is also our Public Programmes Assistant.

Operating throughout the Triennial, tours are free to join but booking is essential.

Our guided tours are designed to include a number of artworks and will typically cover around 2km in distance. Our tour guides will do their best to accommodate every one on the tour but please note that due to the historic nature of the town there may be some steps or uneven surfaces to negotiate. Tours will take place rain or shine, so don’t forget to prepare for the Great British weather by bringing a rain coat and maybe even sun cream.

The majority of the tours will start at Quarterhouse unless otherwise stated. The tour may not end back where you started so please be aware of this when you plan your visit. Our guides can inform you of the routes you will take when you arrive.

If you have any questions or concerns about the guided tours please do not hesitate to contact us and one of our team will get back to you boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk
