Guided Tour: Family Art with Laura Grantham
Sorry, this event has sold out
Get creative and make a mini-sculpture inspired by the artworks on this tour. Suitable for children of all ages (from toddlers to teenagers), this tour might get a bit messy, so please come prepared wearing an old t-shirt. We will use washable art materials!
Local art teacher Laura has a passion for inspiring creativity in young people. With primary and secondary teaching experience, she has a keen interest in talking to children about art and engaging them in a way that is accessible and inspiring. Laura hosts family workshops in Folkestone and is keen on using art to bring people together.
Operating throughout Folkestone Triennial, these tours are free to join but booking is essential. When booking tickets, please book for the total number of people in your party, including young children and babes-in-arms.
Our guided tours are designed to include a number of artworks and will typically cover around 2km in distance. Our tour guides will do their best to accommodate every one on the tour but please note that due to the historic nature of the town there may be some steps or uneven surfaces to negotiate. Tours will take place rain or shine, so don’t forget to prepare for the Great British weather by bringing a rain coat and maybe even sun cream.
The majority of the tours will start at Quarterhouse unless otherwise stated. The tour may not end back where you started so please be aware of this when you plan your visit. Our guides can inform you of the routes you will take when you arrive.
If you have any questions or concerns about the guided tours please do not hesitate to contact us and one of our team will get back to you boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk.
