Origins Untold: Refugee Week - Party at Payers Park

Join Origins Untold for a party in Payer's Park celebrating our diverse community, particularly displaced people and those who work with them to make our town feel like home.

Residents, staff, volunteers from Napier Barracks are invited to sing, dance and feast together with the communities of Folkestone. There will be food and drink from local vendors including Dr Legumes, and a cross-cultural bill of live music, entertainment and DJs, featuring local favourites Mampama and DJ Local Foreigner.

Free, no booking required. Open to all ages. Children under 16 are welcome, accompanied by an adult.

Presented by Origins Untold and Art Refuge, with support from Counterpoints Art, Folkestone Fringe and Creative Folkestone.

Origins Untold is a community organisation and artists’ collective celebrating the presence of African and Caribbean-heritage people in Folkestone and more widely in Kent through arts, heritage and community-building.
