Get ready for the first edition of our new Quarterhouse Comedy Club. This will be the start of a new regular comedy night here in Folkestone that will present a showcase of the best touring comics around.

Expect big laughs from the best and brightest jokers around. Each comedy club will feature some names you know and love as well as some of the next big names. Be here and say you saw them in Folkestone first.

For our first comedy club, we will be joined by headliner John Kearns, Janine Harouni, Alison Spittle and MC Jack Barry.



John Kearns
It has been nearly ten years since John Kearns first debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, John is still the only comedian to have ever won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show (Shtick) and Best Newcomer Sight (Gags for Perverts) in the awards forty year history. He also starred in the 14th series of Taskmaster in 2022 becoming a fan favourite.

Janine Harouni
Janine is a UK based Lebanese-American comedian who's ready for her Netflix special’ (The Times). Janine's latest stand-up hour Man'oushe was nominated for Best Show at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe and is touring in the UK and US in 2024.
Selected as one of The Guardian's 'Ten Comedians to Watch in 2021,' her critically acclaimed debut hour ‘Stand Up with Janine Harouni (Please Remain Seated)’ was recommended by the critics at The New York Times and sold out across the UK and US before being filmed as a special for Amazon Prime UK - available to stream now.

Alison Spittle
Alison is an award winning comedian. Her 2023 show Soup had a full sell out fringe run and her 2022 show Wet, was one of British Comedy Guide’s best reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, and went on to tour around UK and Ireland including Soho Theatre in London. She is co creator and co presenter of the BBC sounds podcast Wheel of Misfortune with Kerry Katona, is a regular co host of The Guilty Feminist. She has appeared on Celebrity Goggle box, Richard Osman’s House of Games and Pointless Celebrities.

Jack Barry
Jack is one of the best MC's in the country and a comedy actor, writer and stand-up who can most recently be seen as a series regular in Mae Martin’s sitcom Feel Good series 1&2 (Netflix) and Rose Matafeo’s Starstruck (BBC-HBO). Jack stars in the new series of ITV2's The Stand Up Sketch Show.
