“Beyond Text” is filled with events for poetry aficionados and lovers of experimental art, but it is also extremely accessible to people who don’t have much (or any!) experience with poetry (check our innovative poetry workshops for beginners).
Where can poetry take you? What can a language do? Do we even need language? How to experiment with art? We will explore these questions together during workshops, poetry readings and performances. We also didn’t forget about expert panels where YOU can ask questions.
We have invited a diverse range of poets and artists from Folkestone, Kent, London, and beyond to help unpack these questions. We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of them for agreeing to take part. Some of them are experimental artists, some of them sit in the sweet spot between mainstream and innovative. What do they have in common? Their poetry and art are very now, very current, and very, very good.
The Festival feasts on Folkestone’s artistic vibe but also brings some of London’s creative energy to the table. So come, engage, think, listen and be entertained.

Ticket information
If you purchase a ticket for each day the multi-buy offer of £15 will be applied to your basket at checkout.
Each of the three days can be also booked separately at a higher price (£6/day).
Workshops are not included in the Festival Pass or Day Pass, all the other events are included.
