Christine Dawood: A Journey to the Titanic
Book this event online or email the box office at boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk
In June 2023, the disappearance of the Titan submersible gripped the world, as millions followed the desperate search unfolding in the Atlantic.
At the centre of that story was Christine Dawood, waiting for news of her husband Shahzada and 19-year-old son Suleman, while enduring one of the most devastating experiences imaginable beneath the glare of global media attention.
In this moving conversation, Christine discusses her memoir Ninety-Six Hours – a brave and intimate account of those agonising four days, but also a wider reflection on love, family, grief and the unimaginable strength required to survive life’s darkest moments.
This is more than the story behind the headlines: it is a rare chance to hear from a woman who has lived through extraordinary loss and found the courage to shape meaning from it.
