Guided Tour: Drawing with Beth Walker

Sorry, this event has sold out

Join artist and life drawing tutor Beth Walker for a walking tour and explore different drawing materials and techniques in response to a selection of the Triennial artworks. All abilities welcome, all materials provided.

Beth was born and raised in Folkestone. As a practicing artist, she believes drawing is fundamental to any arts practice, as well as a mechanism to explore and understand our world.

Operating throughout the Triennial, tours are free to join but booking is essential. These tours have different meeting points:

Sunday 25th July - Meet at Folkestone Central Train Station - Milky Way Route
Sunday 15th August - Meet at Quarterhouse Box Office - St Eanswythe's Way
Sunday 24th October - Meet at Folkestone Central Train Station - William Harvey's Way
Sun 31st October - Meet at Folkestone Central Train Station - William Harvey's Way

Our guided tours are designed to include a number of artworks and will typically cover around 2km in distance. Our tour guides will do their best to accommodate every one on the tour but please note that due to the historic nature of the town there may be some steps or uneven surfaces to negotiate. Tours will take place rain or shine, so don’t forget to prepare for the Great British weather by bringing a rain coat and maybe even sun cream.

The majority of the tours will start at Quarterhouse unless otherwise stated. The tour may not end back where you started so please be aware of this when you plan your visit. Our guides can inform you of the routes you will take when you arrive.

If you have any questions or concerns about the guided tours please do not hesitate to contact us and one of our team will get back to you boxoffice@creativefolkestone.org.uk.
