Join these family-friendly tours and hear the children in your life discuss Folkestone Triennial artworks in their own words. These tours have been designed to help children understand, view and relate to the artworks. You can all-but guarantee they will see things differently to their adults.
Best suited to primary school children, their parents and carers, your guide Catherine has many years of experience working with children.
Operating throughout Folkestone Triennial, our tours are free to join but booking is essential.
When booking tickets, please book for the total number of people in your party, including young children and babes-in-arms.
Our guided tours are designed to include a number of artworks and will typically cover around 2km in distance. Our tour guides will do their best to accommodate every one on the tour but please note that due to the historic nature of the town there may be some steps or uneven surfaces to negotiate. Tours will take place rain or shine, so don’t forget to prepare for the Great British weather by bringing a rain coat and maybe even sun cream.
The majority of the tours will start at Quarterhouse unless otherwise stated. The tour may not end back where you started so please be aware of this when you plan your visit. Our guides can inform you of the routes you will take when you arrive.
