Jane Glover: How to be a (Female) Conductor
Sorry, this event has sold out
In light of the controversies surrounding the film Tar, in which Cate Blanchett plays a female conductor with a dark side, the role of the maestro has become the subject of new fascination.
Jane Glover, one of our most accomplished conductors and composers, comes to Folkestone to talk about myth and reality in the conductor's career, and to reflect on her own career. Jane Glover is the author of Mozart in Italy; Coming of Age in the Land of Opera.
Jane will be in conversation with the Music Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Folkestone resident Jonathon Heyward.
