Join us for a free family workshop where you can drop in any time between 11am and 2pm. Inspired by artist Céline Condorelli’s colourful flags across Folkestone, this activity invites you to discover the bright and bold language of flags.
Flags have long been used by sailors to send messages across the water. In this workshop you will explore how these signals work and then design your very own message marker. Use shapes, colours and codes to share an idea, send a secret, or tell a story.
Choose from two creative routes. You can spell out your name in nautical flags or create a brand-new design with a message that matters to you, such as “I love the sea”.
