In late 18th century France, painter Marianne is commissioned by a countess to paint the wedding portrait of her daughter Héloïse. While posing as her hired companion, Marianne is instructed to complete the portrait in secret. However, intimacy and attraction begin to blossom between both women.

Larushka Ivan-Zadeh is the chief film critic of the Metro newspaper and a director of the Deal Film Festival. Larushka will host the screenings.
Anna Bogutskaya is a freelance film programmer, writer, creative producer and podcaster. In the past, she worked at Pedro Almodovar’s El Deseo, ran the UK’s largest online filmmaker’s network, Shooting People, and was Film and Events Programmer at the BFI, where she curated many seasons and created the Woman with a Movie Camera Summit. Currently, she is the Festival Director of Underwire Festival, host of The Final Girls podcast, contributor to many others, and co-founder of horror film collective The Final Girls. She can be found tweeting pictures of round animals on @annabdemented.
