Folkestone now has a brand new FREE monthly night celebrating the music and dance of the 1920s to the 1950s.
Each month, our guest DJs will play an irresistible mix of 1920s Charleston, 1930s and 40s Swing, Jump Jive and Western Swing, 1950s Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and Doowop, along with a little vintage Latin, Lounge and Calypso to keep things varied.
The evening begins at 7pm with an optional, fun basic jive class taught by our regular dance teachers. Classes start at 7pm and cost £5.00 per person, payable in cash directly to the teacher. Please note that our Clearing bar is card only.
Once the class wraps up, the dancing continues into the night with this month's guest DJs, Cheryl and Chris from Folkestone’s own hometown legends, Folkestone Swing Jive. They are known for their infectious energy, cheeky shenanigans and irresistible vintage vibes, and they always know how to light up the dance floor.
