Folkestone Harbour Arm will be transformed into a world of puppets from 12pm-midnight on Saturday 27 July! Enjoy performances throughout the day and at 8pm enjoy an evening of adult puppetry with Queer Puppets Cabaret (age 16+) in the Customs House!
Folkestone Puppet Festival celebrates all things puppets, with a programme of puppet theatre to entertain, inspire and challenge! Everyone is welcome and all events are free to attend!
There will also be an exhibition at Folkestone Museum from Friday 26 July - Sunday 4 August. From Shadow to Objects looks at the rich history of puppets, from 3000 year old shadow plays to contemporary puppetry. A special feature of the exhibition will be a photographic display of archival images spanning 23 years of Charivari in Folkestone by Strange Cargo.
