We're giving 100 young people the chance to experience this year's Folkestone Book Festival for free.
From inspiring stories and big ideas to memorable conversations and new perspectives, Folkestone Book Festival brings people together through a shared love of books. This November, we're making it easier for more young people to be part of the literary action.
Young people aged 13 to 19 can claim a free ticket to festival events when attending with a paying adult. To take up the offer, book any adult ticket for your chosen event and add a £5 Cost of Living ticket for the young person. At checkout, enter the code FIL26 and the £5 ticket will become free. The young person must attend the event with an adult.
Whether they're a keen reader, an aspiring writer or simply curious about the world around them, the festival offers the chance to hear directly from leading authors, thinkers, campaigners and storytellers. It's an opportunity to discover new books, explore fresh ideas and enjoy meaningful conversations together.
At the heart of Folkestone Book Festival are books, ideas and community. By offering free tickets for teenagers, we hope to welcome more young people into those conversations and help create lifelong connections with reading, writing and creativity.
The initiative is part of Folkestone is a Library, a town-wide programme that celebrates reading, storytelling and shared learning. Together, we're working to make Folkestone a great place to read, write and share stories.
Free tickets are limited and available on a first come, first served basis, so early booking is recommended.
