Lyse Doucet & Patrick Cockburn: War and Propaganda

Sat 18 Nov, 6pm

due to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza, Lyse Doucet will be unable to attend the event on Saturday.

The event will still go ahead with veteran war correspondent Patrick Cockburn and James Harkin, Director of the Centre for Investigative Journalism. Your ticket is still valid for this event, and we hope you can still join us for what promises to be a lively and insightful conversation.

We are making every effort for Lyse to join us by video link, but this may prove impossible.

If you decide not to attend, you will automatically qualify for a refund, and this will be processed after the event as our Box Office team will be busy during the festival. You do not need to take any action.

Fenton Bailey & Tia Kofi

Sun 19 Nov, 8pm

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Russell Tovey will no longer be in conversation with Fenton Bailey on Sun 19 Nov.

However, Drag Race UK legend, icon and Glamorous Geek, Tia Kofi will save the day. Tia will join us at the Folkestone Book Festival to talk all things TV, queerness, and so much more. Tia Kofi was one of the stars of Drag Race UK series 2 and is now a superstar in the drag scene.

Your ticket for this event remains valid for this event or you can request a refund or swap to an alternative event.

Grace Dent: Comfort Eating

Wed 22 Nov, 4pm

Grace Dent has made the decision to no longer attend Folkestone Book Festival and will now be on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

Our Book Festival curators have been working hard to secure a replacement and we are delighted to announce that Bee Wilson will join Niki Segnit in conversation. Together they will delve into how everyone can maximise the flavours in their cooking.
