We are hoping you can join us for a ‘spring clean’ (general litter pick) of the Gasworks Site on Foord Road North.
On Monday 14 April, 2pm. Meeting at the gates to the site opposite Tesco Express entrance.
We are fortunate to be working with the artist Jyll Bradley, for Folkestone Triennial 2014. Jyll will present Green/Light, a major new sculptural light installation created for the Old Gas Works site. Green/Light, makes use of traditional hop-stringing methods to create a web of colour and light, it will be an exciting, immersive, reflective space inviting the regeneration of the site for the local community.
Grabbers and bags will be provided, but please wear old clothes, sturdy shoes and bring water and sunscreen (wishful thinking!).
It is general litter, nothing too heavy.
Emily Ghassempour from Shepway District Council is sharps trained, for more ominous finds.
