Lee Hooper and Rosie Brodhurst-Hooper announce the launch of Photo Co-Op: a multi-service, photography-driven business at 69 Tontine Street in Folkestone. Photo Co-Op is a two-floor community membership business, where members can join to participate in a range of different photography-led events and pay-by-the-hour services.

With 30 + years experience in photography and visual communication consulting we offer simple-to-follow, ’snack-able’ courses and programmes that will easily help you develop your photography skills, giving you the confidence to explore your creativity. We’re sociable. We’re friendly. We’re part of your community and go beyond only courses, being a hub for like-minded people. Whether you are inexperienced or intrepid, we have something for you - from access to our darkroom to advice we want to help you become your own master, so you can create photographs that you can feel proud of. So come on in.

Photo Co-Op offers a darkroom for both colour and black and white, alongside negative scanner stations, with professional scanners and iMacs available to use for high-quality, professional scans.  Photo Co-Op plans a programme of events, workshops and activities that invites the wider community to be part of the photography discourse. In addition to community-led events, Photo Co-Op will also host a changing cast of contemporary photography exhibitions, reflecting a range of topics from places, zeitgeist and culture.

Photo Co-Op will also sell a range of products, from analogue products to photography publications and literature. Find them on Instagram.
